During a session, you will close your eyes, put on headphones, and listen to music that is synchronised to the roXiva light journey and playing for the duration of your experience. The roXiva light journey uses flickering and flashing white lights combined with sound to guide you into a deeply relaxing and/or inspiring state of mind, using the Frequency Following Response (FFR). The Frequency Following Response is the natural tendency of the brain to follow (and become synchronized with) sound, light, rhythm, and energy that vibrates within a certain frequency. A variety of sensations can occur during your roXiva session. As the flickering lights and sound guide you to an altered state of mind, you might experience subtle and peaceful kaleidoscopic patterns that can lead you to drift off to sleep, or you might experience a more intense psychedelic light journey.
RoXiva works through the eyelids and the ears to deliver you to a new, altered state of mind. Most commonly, the roXiva experience produces incredible relaxation, leading you to feel tranquil, refreshed, and happy. It is also common to be guided into a state of mind that leaves you feeling inspired. Occasionally, some individuals achieve a state of relaxation so immense that they go into a trance-like state.
Yes. No known side effects. However, flashing lights have been known to cause problems in people who suffer from serious medical conditions like epilepsy, seizure disorders, brain injury, or photosensitivity. If you have any of these concerns, you should ask your medical professional if light and sound technology is right for you. Using the roXiva light journey does not have any known negative effects on the eyes.
The Roxiva light journey has many benefits, including deep relaxation, anxiety relief, pain relief, improved sleep, improved creativity, emotional release, enhanced learning, increased motivation, and moments of inspiration. Within minutes, you have the opportunity to tune into a state of mind that can only be achieved by those who meditate long-term.
The term “entrainment” refers to the synchronization of organisms to an external rhythm. In the case of the roXiva light journey, the organism being entrained is the brain, and we do this by simulating the rhythms of specific brain wave frequencies known for deep relaxation and heightened states of consciousness. It is the process of reaching deep levels of relaxation and then using guided visualization to form mental images. Visualization is the primary component of the imagination and is at the core of the human ability to create, innovate and dream. Many of history’s inventors, artists, and athletes attribute their success to an exceptional ability to visualize. Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, Henry Ford, Tiger Woods, and the great composer, Chopin, and all reported using visualization to spark their imaginations and achieve unprecedented levels of performance. In fact, Albert Einstein once said that he came up with the theory of relativity by imagining what would happen if he could travel through space on the tip of a light beam. RoXiva can transport you out of a state of stress or fear, and into a new space of inner calm, peace and tranquility. A natural byproduct occurs when the body goes loose and limp, thereby creating the relaxation response – the perfect state for learning or focusing on goals.
Generally speaking, any person can achieve alpha/theta brainwave states and can benefit from roXiva. However, the sessions are recommended for persons with a healthy brain. Persons with severe mental disorders should not use roXiva. Flashing lights have been known to trigger seizures in certain cases. While this disorder is rare, people who have a seizure disorder of any kind should not use the flickering lights in the Roxiva lamp. If you are unsure, ask your doctor before proceeding. The recommended frequency of use varies from person to person, depending on hydration levels, how stimulated you are before using Roxiva, and the goals you want to achieve with Roxiva light journey.
